WMT) and the world's largest discount retailer is expected to announce profits of $1.31 compared to last year's $1.17 per share. Technically, shares look to have closed on a ProfitSource EW4 EBOT signal line Friday.

Out-of-the money March 57.50 call priced for $0.31 with 5% "to double" value, sees massive activity of nearly 88,000 contracts compared to open interest of 51,000.

 In the glittery spotlight, MGM Resorts (MGM) is expected to produce a slightly smaller loss of (0.22) per share versus the prior year's (0.25). Peer Wynn Resorts (WYNN) broke out last week from a four week flat base pattern shaped on top of an eight week cup and finishing at fresh two-plus year highs. Technically, MGM shares have shaped a similar weekly cup with a slightly "high handle" of four weeks that's pulled back inside the larger base.

However, IBD maintains a Composite Rating of 89, 92 EPS rating and B+ Acc/Dist Rating with only its RS of 71, a result of its long base development, a less obvious blemish.
